About 

Tal Inbar (www.inbarspace.com) is an independent consultant and researcher in various fields of space policy, emerging technologies, and strategic planning. He studied political science (BA) and security studies (MA), both at Tel Aviv University. He began working at the Fisher Institute for Strategic Air and Space Studies in 2003 and was appointed Director of the Institute’s Space and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Research Center until the Institute’s closure in 2019. He co-founded the Ilan Ramon International Space Conference in 2006 and has been a leading member of the academic committee of this world-renowned event ever since.

Mr. Inbar follows the space and missile programs of various countries and has recently focused on space programs in the Middle East. He has published numerous articles in national and international media. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences, workshops, and seminars including meetings of INIDIR, HCoC and IISS.

A guest lecturer at a variety of think tanks and research groups, including RAND, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance, the Secure World Foundation – to name a few. In May 2021, Inbar joined the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance (based in Washington, D.C.) as a Senior Research Fellow.

He is a consultant to Israeli defense and space companies, including IAI, Elbit, and Rafael. Inbar serves as a consultant for a variety of projects for the Israel Space Agency and has worked very closely with all of the agency’s directors since 2003.

Inbar has prepared several research papers for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the strategic division at the ministry. Inbar is a member of the History Committee of the International Academy of Astronautics and has written dozens of papers presented at the International Astronautical Congresses since 2002.

Since the first edition of the International Space University (ISU) Israel Space Executive Course (2021), Inbar has been a prominent faculty member of the courses, providing an overview of space and space-related topics, including management, finance, law, business and administration, to professionals from diverse backgrounds.
